Is it possible to cure Type 2 diabetes without Drugs?
For the last 50 years we know there’s been an increase of almost 700 percent in the rate of diabetes. That gives us roughly more than 70 million diabetics which means one in four Americans suffer from either diabetes or pre-diabetes.
This is a very serious pandemic that’s just going to get worse and not many know that diabetes is also a chronic disease that is easily avoidable.
As you may know there are two types of diabetes. One is insulin-dependent, also medically referred to as juvenile diabetes. Another diabetes type is Type 2 which causes insulin-resistant diabetes, which also happens to be the more common of the two being present in 90-95 percent of all diabetics.
Diabetes is tested by a fasting blood sugar test. The measurement scales are based on mg/dl ratio, and if the patient’s fasting blood sugar shoots past 125 mg/dl, it’s confirmed case of diabetes. On the other hand you’re considered pre-diabetic if your blood sugar is in the range of 110 to 125 mg/dl.
However it is better to make sure that your blood sugar is about 80 mg/dl in order to thwart health problems.
Don’t let your physician ignore the early signs of diabetes who may not even understand how to actually treat it the right way.
Why many find less confidence in Conventional Treatment
Now there are doctors who believe that blood sugar is not exactly the underlying problem. It’s just a symptom that shows up when your body tries to balance itself.
The real culprit is insulin resistance together with faulty leptin signaling. This is due to miscommunication between our cellular receptors for insulin and leptin.
When our blood sugar gets elevated the insulin gets released in order to instruct the extra energy to be preserved. There’s a small amount kept as a starch called glycogen in our body, but most is stored as our main energy supply which is fat. Therefore insulin’s responsibility is not to reduce sugar, but to direct the extra energy and keep it for future needs. Insulin lessens your blood sugar as a result of leading the extra energy into storage.
It is for this reason that treatments that target lowering blood sugar to treat diabetes while increasing insulin levels can make matters worse rather than treat the underlying problem of metabolic misdirection.
Hence there’s more to just treating our blood sugar level. Taking insulin causes one of the drawbacks such as building up your insulin and leptin resistance over time. (Reference: Dr Mercola. “Is Insulin Condemning You to a Premature Death?”)
It is a fact that Diabetes can reduce our Lifespan and quality of life. For example: Type 2 diabetes can increase our overall risk of heart disease, the condition can also cause fatal and non-fatal heart attacks, strokes and other cardiovascular events.
